Rider Justice is proud to sponsor and promote the Bagger Racing League’s inaugural event, Drag Specialties Battle of the Baggers, which will take place June 25–27 in Salt Lake City at Utah Motorsports Complex.
“By the end of the day we announced the formation of the Bagger Racing League, we had over 20 teams signed up to race,” said Bagger Racing League COO and co-founder, John M. Oakes. “The speed at which racers, teams, dealers, partners, and fans have flocked to join our BRL Family is mind boggling. Come June, this is going to be the best weekend of V-Twin racing in history.”
Scott O’Sullivan, founder of Rider Justice said, “We are proud to be affiliated with the people behind this amazing event. John Oakes and Rob Buydos are visionaries who keep giving back to the motorcycle community they love so much. It’s an honor to support what they do… and to call them our friends.”
What the Heck is Bagger Racing?
We heard our best definition of Bagger Racing from Oakes, who said, “You take a touring bike that is meant to be ridden across the U.S. and you make it race.”
This 3-day event will feature the world’s largest V-Twin vendor village at a road racetrack, stunt shows, camping, the Arlen Ness Custom Bike Show and much more.

Not Just for Pros
Drag Specialties Battle of the Baggers Bagger Racing League™ will feature 4 classes of racing, making this accessible to all riders that have put in track time, not just pro-racers:

- Class 2 Big Twin GP presented by NAMZ: Includes any American large-displacement big twin.
- Class 3 Pro-Stock Bagger GP presented by Metzeler Tires: Includes Harley-Davidson or Indian with fairing and saddlebags to qualify
