As we reach the end of 2020, time-honored traditions like the Colorado Motorcycle Expo and the 35th Annual Toy Run to Children’s Hospital were being canceled. Bikers everywhere are left shaking their heads and wondering what’s next?

While we might be able to stomach missing an opportunity to gather for a weekend, one thing our riding community cannot bear is missing the chance to help children.

Rocky Mountain Harley-Davidson changed gears quickly and began a 2020 Toy Drive. They worked with motorcycle dealerships all around the metro to set up drop-off sites for gifts with the promise they would deliver them to Children’s Hospital on behalf of the Colorado riding community.

For some, that wasn’t enough

Laurie Montoya, President of our favorite non-profit, BikerDown, organized a chili-cookoff at Dirty Dogs Roadhouse on Thanksgiving weekend with a call to riders: Bring a toy for the kids! And boy, did you answer the call! On Wednesday, December 2nd, we helped BikerDown deliver two truckloads of toys to RMHD!

We’re not done yet!

This Saturday, December 5, we’re doing a 2020 “Modified” Toy Run. We’re asking riders who want to give to drop off toys to Dirty Dogs Roadhouse. Then on Saturday, we will deliver those toys on your behalf to RMHD so they can deliver to Children’s Hospital. For those who want join us on Saturday, please do! Strap those toys to your bike and ride from Dirty Dogs to Rocky Mountain with us!

We’re gathering at noon and invite everyone to support Dirty Dogs as well. We’ll leave at 1:00 PM for the toy delivery.
